Principal's Weekly Update
Hello, Everyone!
Welcome to our final newsletter blog of 2024—how quickly this year has flown by! We’re delighted to have Assistant Principal Mrs. Jarvis join us today as we wrap up the term with three key highlights:
- A Huge Thank You:
First and foremost, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our entire school community. To our staff, students, parents, and supporters—your dedication and encouragement fuel our motivation to strive for excellence. The gratitude many of you have shared over the past weeks means the world to us. Together, we’ve made 2024 a truly remarkable year, and we hope you feel the positive impact as much as we do.
- Celebrating Memorable Events:
Since our last update, we’ve had two incredible events that deserve a special spotlight:- Year 7 Speech Competition:
This year’s competition was nothing short of spectacular. Every single Year 7 student participated, showcasing immense courage and growth in public speaking. The grand finale, attended by many supportive parents, featured performances that made choosing a winner nearly impossible. Keep an eye out for photos if your child took part—we’re so proud of all the students who embraced this challenge!

- Winter Showcase:
Our annual Winter Showcase was another triumph, with a dazzling array of performances. From vocal solos to piano recitals, to our amazing school band, the talent on display was inspiring. A heartfelt thank you to parents and students who came to cheer on the performers. Your presence and feedback have motivated us to refine this cherished event, ensuring smoother operations and an even more polished experience.
- Winter Showcase:
- Rewards and Recognition – A message from Mrs Jarvis:
One of my favourite roles is celebrating our students' achievements. This term, we’ve organised fantastic reward trips to destinations like Jump Giants, Winter Wonderland, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum.
In addition, our Heads of Learning have hosted reward assemblies filled with exciting prizes, and we’re looking forward to two special assemblies on the final day of term. These include:
-
- The Zero Hero Awards – Celebrating students with impeccable attendance and punctuality.
- The Gold Assembly – Honouring our ‘Golden Students’ with amazing prizes.
Your unwavering support helps make these moments possible. Together, we’re ensuring our students shine as brightly as they can!”
Looking Ahead:
This Friday, we’ll be wearing red to support Save the Children. Encourage your child to participate, and if possible, make a donation via ParentPay—every penny helps this fantastic cause.
Don’t forget, our assemblies will feature the Golden Tombola, where students need to be “in it to win it.” Make sure your child is present on Friday to celebrate, raise funds, and kick off the festive break on a high note.
Wishing You All the Best:
From all of us here, we hope you and your family have a joyful, restful holiday season. Thank you for an amazing 2024—we’re excited to see what 2025 will bring!
Warm regards,
Ms. Seymour
