    On Saturday 8th December 2018, music students in Years 9 and 10 had the opportunity to attend a music concert at the O2 Indigo in Greenwich, featuring two-time Mobo Award-winning artist, Guvna B and other artists including Faith Child and LZ7. The event had a Christian tone and involved an invitation to explore the Christian faith further.

  • Safer Internet Day 2019

    Safer Internet Day 2019 will be celebrated globally on Tuesday 5th February with the slogan: ‘Together for a better Internet’.

     

    Safer Internet Day is a fantastic opportunity to have a conversation with children about using the internet safely, responsibly and positively. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, foster carer, aunt, uncle or older sibling – we can all play a role in empowering children to enjoy their time online! 

     

    This year, the UK Safer Internet Centre is particularly focusing on how consent works in an online context and exploring how young people ask, give, and receive consent online. This could be in their friendships or relationships, how they take and share images and videos or how they manage their privacy and data.

  • Oxford University

    On Wednesday 28th November 2018, thirteen Year 12 students attended an insight day at Oxford University. Upon arrival at St Anne’s College, students were provided with information, advice and guidance which focused on Oxbridge and Russell Group applications. 

    Students then had the opportunity to attend an academic taster session on either maths or law. The visit was completed by being shown around the university by current students at St Anne’s.

    The ‘working in the city’ workshop at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner on Wednesday 10th October 2018 gave students in Year 12 an insight into business services and support roles within a large city law firm. This included departments such as HR, IT support, finance and accounting, business development and marketing.
