Year 10 are currently studying natural forms in art and are looking at the work of Georgia O’Keeffe.

 

On 21^st October Year 10 students visited the Tate to explore the O’Keeffe exhibition and got to see some of O’Keeffe’s most beautiful pieces of work including: Oriental Poppies and Autumn Leaves.

 

Each student completed a work sheet which encouraged them to independently research individual pieces of work and styles from O’Keeffe.

 

All students completed a number of drawing activities at the Tate and thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Students from across the school came to audition for this year’s Open Mic.

 

The students wowed Ms Carrera and Ms van Hoogland with their fantastic and passionate performances.

 

The names of students who have made it into the show will be posted in the Orsino Building on the last day of term.

 

Open Mic Night will be held at school on Thursday 10^th November 2016.
