Further and Higher Education
Under raising the participation age (RPA) requirements, all young people in England are required to continue in education or training until at least their 18thbirthday. Uxbridge High ensures that their students are clear about this requirement and what it means for them:
- Full time study in school, college or training provider;
- An apprenticeship, traineeship or supported internship;
- Full time work or volunteering (20 hours or more) combined with part time accredited study.
Also under the Government’s new legal duty, from 2 January 2018 we ensure that there is an opportunity for a range of education and training providers to access all students for the purpose of informing them about approved technical education qualifications and apprenticeships.
